National KPI systems
Martin Print of Amazia Ltd was one of the founders of the UK Construction Industry KPIs – the UK’s national system of KPIs. He is also is a founder member of the KPI Consortium which for over a decade has collected and analysed the thousands of data sets underlying the UK Construction Industry KPIs.
The data collection is funded by the UK government through the Business Department (BIS), and the outputs are published by Constructing Excellence on KPIzone.
Martin Print was also a member of the team that developed the national KPI system for New Zealand. Working with the Centre for Advanced Engineering in New Zealand (CAENZ), the project involved:
- Establishment of a national KPI framework
- Identification of existing data sources
- Generation of new data sources
- Analysis of results
- Preparation for publication
- Advice on presentations and workshops.
To reduce costs (and carbon emissions), the project was completed almost entirely by using email and remote conferencing.
